Annual Awards 2025 - are you interested in applying?

The RCOT Annual Awards will soon open to applications from 1 July 2025. We’re giving the opportunity to receive funding of up to £9,500 to learning, development, and research activities.

Ahead of the launch date, we'd like anyone who is interested in applying for an award to complete the expression of interest form. We’ll then send you a reminder when the awards are open and it’s time to apply. Before completing this form, please review the award summaries to make sure your project or activity meets the eligibility criteria. We’ve given full details of each award below.

Available Awards

The Barbara Tyldesley Student Award

The Barbara Tyldesley Student Award

Eligibility: Student and Associate Apprentice
Award: £500 each (2 awards available)
Purpose: s participation in role-emerging or research placements, approved overseas placements, or involvement in global projects.

The Eden Travel Award

The Eden Travel Award

Eligibility: All hip Categories
Award: £750 each (2 awards available)
Purpose: Covers travel expenses for professional development or learning activities, either within the UK or internationally. Applications from small groups (up to four individuals) are also encouraged.

Institute of Social Psychiatry Award

Institute of Social Psychiatry Award

Eligibility: Professional
Award: £2,000 (1 award available)
Purpose: Funds research or development projects related to occupational therapy and mental health, with a focus on social psychiatry. Also suitable for formal postgraduate research and educational activities.

International Activity Award

International Activity Award

Eligibility: Professional and Associate
Award: £750 each (2 awards available)
Purpose: s active participation in international activities, such as presenting at conferences (including virtual), sharing professional expertise, or collaborating with overseas communities in occupational therapy.

The Constance Owens Liverpool Award

The Constance Owens Liverpool Award for Service Development

Eligibility: Professional
Award: £1,000 (1 award available)

Purpose: s service development initiatives that aim to improve outcomes for service s/carers, enhance occupational therapy service effectiveness, and advance professional practice. Applications from small groups (up to four individuals) are welcome.

Medequip Innovation Award

Medequip Innovation Award for Community Equipment

Eligibility: Professional
Award: £1,500 (1 award available)
Purpose: Funds innovative or developmental projects focused on community equipment provision. Applications from small groups (up to four individuals) are welcome.

Ann Carnduff Legacy D Activities Award

Ann Carnduff Legacy D Activities Award

Eligibility: Student and Associate Apprentice
Award: £500 each (2 awards available)

Purpose: Provides financial assistance for D activities—whether in the UK, abroad, or online. This includes conferences, lectures, workshops, seminars, forums and networking. The award also covers RCOT paid events for .
